About Us
The original idea for Out Of Faith was thought up by good friends Luke Allport and Wayne ‘Rolo’ Carroll in early 2004. It was originally started as an acoustic duo, writing a few songs, mainly about personal subjects like ex-girlfriends and the like.
The band was formed at the helms of Luke and Rolo’s first project “For Reasons Why” where Luke and Rolo first met. When not rehearsing or recording with For Reasons Why, Luke and Rolo would meet up and write songs. As For Reasons Why went there seperate ways though, unfortuantely so did Out of Faith, but Luke and Rolo still remained good friends. After a lot of discussion Luke and Rolo decided to reform Out of Faith in summer 2007. From here, songs continued to be written as an acoustic duo, and the first full song, “Self Pity” was written and recorded.
After a few songs were written, it was decided that they would be captured better with electric guitars on a full band basis. The songs that suited this sound best were kept.
The bands next recording “Butterflies” (which can be found here) was recorded using electric guitars. Luke recorded the bass parts, and Luke and Rolo each recorded guitar parts. The drums for this track were programmed by Luke and Rolo. This song has been shared on facebook and played to quite a few people and has only recieved good feedback.
Since then more songs have been recorded, and various change arounds have occurred. All of Out Of Faith’s recordings can be heard here.
